Hey,
The March Tournament was very smooth and made improvements from the first tournament in Febuary. On that basis, are there any additional changes you would like to see?
One change that I might propose is keeping the tournament debates at the top of page one so that every viewer on the site can catch the debate process, which will increase viewers and voters for any given topic.
A good debate is not judged by bias, but in the context of the debate, where objectivity is key and rationale prevalent.

I also suggest that more vetting should take place of users who sign up to ensure that they actually follow through and don’t forfeit debates.
it was a great tournament

Also, every debate should at least have moderate voting. Casual voting does not ensure that onlookers even read it.

In response to Varrack, I do like the idea of 48 hours rounds, but I think that a forfeiture should end the debate, because if the debate is extended, the person might not respond for a week. It could be a matter of time constraint, but in that case, the person who fails to find time to respond should message aarong with such information so that the debate can be halted or a new opponent can be found.

Yeah, a 2 round debate isn't much. But it's something, and it's better than a completely halted debate. Furthermore, I don't agree with 3 rounds being the max; I come from another debate site where 5 is, and that seems like a better system.
Essentially, if we:
- Extended the round posting period
- Increased the number of rounds
- Made round forfeits not an end-all
That would solve the issue of a missed deadline completely ruining a debate.
